About me

I'm Aidan Swank, an artist and educator from Carlisle, PA. In 2024, I graduated from Shippensburg University with a Bachelor's in Art and a certification in Graphic Design. During my time there, I also helped run the university's on-campus gallery, and is where I learned how to professionally organize, present, and preserve art. Besides that, my experience includes being a graphic designer, a substitute art teacher at Yellow Breeches Middle School, a creative activities director for both adults and children, and now I am working to turn my love of art into a career!

When I'm not creating or instructing, I am working on other interesting projects. Currently, I am in the second year of tending to my dye garden. In fall, I will then process the harvest into all-natural watercolor paints. I am hoping to document this unique process and educate others about fun and sustainable art practices, and eventually sell tins of natural watercolors.

Additionally, I am currently putting together a children's art program for Summer 2026 in Boiling Springs, and then hopefully continuing it as an after school program in the coming year.
